Submissions

Thank you for thinking of Cuento de Luz.

We know what it takes to finish a story or a series of illustrations, and to send it out into the world hoping someone will care for it. That courage deserves a straight answer rather than silence, so here is ours.

We are not currently accepting submissions

Our publishing programme is full, and our list for the coming seasons is already committed. Rather than let manuscripts wait in a queue we cannot honour, we prefer to be clear: we are not reviewing unsolicited manuscripts or illustration portfolios at this time, and we are unable to reply to submissions individually.

This is not a judgement on your work. It is simply the size of our house — we are a small independent publisher, and we publish only a handful of books each year.

If you write or illustrate for children

Keep going. The world needs more people willing to make beautiful things for young readers. Spanish and international children's publishing is full of houses actively looking for new voices, and professional associations for writers and illustrators are the best place to start looking for the right door.

Should our doors open again, we will say so on this page.
