What data we collect, and why

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address to send you occasional news about our books (a few times a year). Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by writing to us, and we will delete your address.

Contact and submissions. If you write to us (contact form, submissions, email), we process the information you send in order to reply and handle your request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to you (and pre-contractual steps, for submissions).

Technical data. Our hosting providers automatically process IP addresses and standard request logs for security and to deliver the website. These logs are transient and not used to identify or profile visitors.

What we don't do

We use no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no profiling of any kind. We do not sell or share your data for marketing. The only cookies we use are two strictly functional ones, described in our Cookies Policy.

Third parties and transfers

The website is hosted on Vercel and delivered via Cloudflare; newsletter data is stored in our database hosted on Neon — these providers act as processors under agreements incorporating EU Standard Contractual Clauses where data leaves the EEA. Book trailers use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and load only if you press play. Links to bookshops lead to external sites with their own policies; some Amazon links are affiliate links (see the notice in our footer).

Retention

Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe. Correspondence: as long as needed to handle your request and any legal obligations. Server logs: per our providers' short standard periods.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Spanish LOPDGDD you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing, by writing to [privacy email]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority (AEPD).

Minors

Our books are for children; our website is operated for adults (parents, teachers, booksellers). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
