Silvia Álvarez

Silvia Álvarez The award-winning illustrator Silvia Álvarez was born to a Honduran father and a Spanish mother in the tropical coastal city of La Ceiba, Honduras. At seven, she moved to Spain and resided in Seville, where she graduated in Fine Arts. With a substantial number of published works, several of which have been sold and translated internationally, she was awarded the Gold Medal at the International Latino Book Awards for her work in "Daisy" (Cuento de luz, 2017). She has also received other recognitions, such as her work "Pablo Pineda," which was selected for the Bologna Exhibition 2017. Her colorful, figurative, sensitive, and poetic style powerfully conveys emotions and unique settings. She collaborates with national and international publishers, magazines, and various media outlets.
